Here are a few of the specific fiber arts that we promote. Groups may meet to chat and help each other learn the craft. Drop us an email to find out when and where they meet or who to contact. Check back with us here as, with Covid, these groups may vary.
Meetings of the rigid heddle study group are held the second Wednesday, 10 AM to noon, and second Sundays from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. See the latest Newsletter for more information.
Our spinning circle meets Wednesday mornings from 10:00 A.M. to Noon at the Sahara Library, 9600 West Sahara Ave in Las Vegas. The public is welcome!

Members contribute their time and talents to groups of students. Sometimes it is in a setting that is open to the public, and other times it is in a classroom. Recent talks were the basics of weaving, the fabric in clothing and how it relates to sheep and cotton, spinning, and weaving, and a hands-on class in Japanese Kumihimo.
In partnership with the Nevada State Historical Society, the guild sets up displays at the Old Mormon Fort, located at Las Vegas Blvd and Washington Ave. They usually include spinning and weaving demonstrations and often a hands-on lesson.
Our spinning group meets every Wednesday from 10 to noon at the Sahara Library to spin, share, and entice others to try it!
